Proverbs 10:9

Writer: Tim RomeroTim Romero

Proverbs 10:9 (ESV):  “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but he who makes his ways crooked will be found out.”

A person of integrity does what is right, not just what is best for them. God desires us to be people of integrity. Those who cheat and steal will eventually be found out.

Solomon reminds his sons to be people of integrity, never walking in crooked ways. He warns them that their wrongdoing will be exposed. They might think they are getting away with it, but they are not. God is simply waiting to reveal their crookedness. He desires them to walk in integrity so that He can bless them. That is a much better choice.

Are you walking in any form of crookedness in your life? If so, repent and turn back to the Lord. Ask Him to direct your steps so that you walk in integrity. It is not the easy path, but it is the right one. Ask the Lord today to reveal any crooked ways in your life and to give you wisdom to make things right. He will certainly do it, and He will give you strength to make the right choices moving forward. As Mark Twain said, “It is never wrong to do the right thing.” Lord, help us!

Father, we thank You for walking in integrity toward us. You never do the wrong thing. Help us to follow in Your footsteps and to consider Your ways as better. Direct our steps so that we may follow You wholeheartedly. We pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
