Romans 13:11-14

Romans 13:11–14 (ESV): 11 Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. 12 The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires."

If there were ever a time in the world when the church should look more like Jesus, it's now. Time is short, our salvation is at hand. Wake up Christian, die to self and live for Christ!

Nearly 2000 years ago the Apostle Paul was saying time is short. The believers in Rome probably thought they had all the time in the world to get their lives together but they were reminded that today is one day closer to the Lord returning. Therefore their lives ought to be lived out with an expectancy and an urgency not allowing the flesh any provisions for the day is dawning when Christ will return.

Fast forward to 2018. How much more is that the case today? No one knows the day or the hour of Christ's return but we know the season and Christian it is very close. Israel is a nation again, men are lovers of themselves, the love many is growing cold...the Son is dawning folks. May that cause you to live your life with expectancy and urgency. Put off the flesh and put on Christ. Trim your lamp Church, for the Bridegroom is coming!

Father we thank You for Your amazing love and grace. May we live daily in awe of You and may it affect the decisions we make. We want to be found faithful so quicken our hearts with an expectancy and urgency for Christ's return. Use us in these last moments of these last days to Your glory we pray in Jesus name, amen.
