Romans 11:24

Romans 11:24 (ESV): "24 For if you were cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and grafted, contrary to nature, into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, the natural branches, be grafted back into their own olive tree."

God is not done with Israel! He has made everlasting covenants with her and He will keep His Word to this nation. His promises are as good as done for those who trust in Him through the Messiah Jesus Christ.

Replacement theology teaches contrary to the Apostle Paul and the book of Romans, specific chapters 9-11. The wild olive tree is the people of God and the root of the tree is true Israel (Jews who were looking forward to, have believed in, or currently believe in Jesus) according to Paul. The branches that were cut off are those who didn't or don't believe in Jesus. The Gentiles are grafted into the tree. God has turned His sights away from Israel currently to focus on the Gentiles but He will focus on the nation of Israel in the Tribulation Period. They "will be" (future tense) grafted back into the olive tree.

How do you view the nation of Israel? Do pray for her and believe God still has a plan for her? His faithfulness to Israel is a sign to you and me as the branches grafted in that He is faithful to do what He says! God is building His Kingdom in the Church age with Gentiles primarily but He will graft back in more Jews. He is faithful to His promises!

Father, we pray for the nation of Israel and that many Jews would turn their hearts back towards You. You are faithful when we are not. Help us to take courage and not grow weary in these last days we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
