Revelation 20:11-15

Revelation 20:11–15 (ESV): "11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire."

There is one thing more sure than death and taxes, the judgment of the Lord. One day every man, woman and child will be brought before His throne and will give an account for their life.

After the battle of Armageddon was complete and Satan and His cronies were thrown in the Lake of Fire John sees the triune Godhead seated on a great white throne. All unbelievers were resurrected to stand before God for judgment and the Book of Life was brought before Him and He sought to find their names and if they were not written in it He will judge them. Other books were brought out detailing all their sins and they were judged. Death and Hades were then thrown into the Lake of Fire along with all who did not believe and receive Jesus. This is the Second Death.

Thankfully for the Christian our sins were judged upon the Cross. Jesus Christ took the wrath that belonged to us. We too will be judged but not in the same way. Our judgment will be a reward ceremony (1 Cor 3:12-15) where God will determine our motives along with all that we did in Christ name and we will be given a reward. What an incredible truth that we will not only escape the fire of Hell but that we will also be reward for the works that God created before the foundation of the world (Eph 2:10) and gave us the faith and empowerment to walk in. Be faithful Christian, your reward is coming soon.

Father we thank You for Your abundant grace that covers us. We thank You that You have offered salvation to us and that we were willing to bow our knee to Jesus. For those who haven't yet Lord will You sway their heart before it's too late? Will you use me to speak life into them? The resurrection is sure for all, some to eternal life and some to eternal death. I'm available to be used that many more will experience eternal life. Fill me with Your Spirit and keep me on mission to share the Gospel with the world I pray in Jesus name, amen.
