Revelation 19:11-16

Revelation 19:11–16 (ESV): "11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. 12 His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. 13 He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. 14 And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. 15 From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords."

The military strategy of air strikes then boots on the ground is a very effective means of winning a war. Air strikes send a message to the enemy and boots on the ground bring the victory. God operates no differently.

John has seen the air strikes of God through a series of judgments He has poured out on the inhabitants of earth. He has sent the message to a Christ rejecting world that sin will be judged. After the seventh trumpet John sees Jesus mounted on a white horse in all His glory with a massive army of saints. God is putting boots on the ground to bring the victory. The battle will be fierce and quick and then Jesus will take His throne on earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

As surely as the sun rises and sets so too can we be certain that Jesus is coming soon. The stage is being set as we speak for the air strikes of God. He is sending His message subtly today but there is quickly approaching a time when the subtle message will turn far more severe. Then Jesus will put boots to the ground to consummate His victory over the tyranny of evil. He is coming quickly. His church will soon be caught up together with Him in the clouds. Are you ready? If not, get ready. The signs are there, Matthew 24 is before us, let us prepare for the coming of King Jesus!

Father we praise You for being so good to us. How patient and long suffering You are Lord. How faithful You are to send messages over and over to us about Your posture towards sin. May we take it seriously and live holy lives as Your ambassadors. Awaken this world through the light of Your church before the air strikes commence. We are available and ready to be used so use us we pray in Jesus name, amen!
