Revelation 12:7-11

Revelation 12:7–11 (ESV): "7 Now war arose in heaven, Michael and his angels fighting against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels fought back, 8 but he was defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. 9 And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. 11 And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death."

Great news, the Devil has been defeated. He no longer has dominion over those whocall Christ Lord. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of our testimony.

John pens what is perhaps the one of the greatest wars to ever take place in the history of creation. The war between Satan and his fallen angels and Michael and his angels in heaven. The result is defeat and banishment from heaven for the devil and his angels. He has lost his ability to frequent heaven midway through the Tribulation. He will never be able to accuse the brethren before the throne of God again. What a glorious day that will be.The way we overthrow Satan in our lives is by way of the blood of Christ. It's belief in the blood, meaning the sacrificial Lamb Jesus Christ who was crucified and died on our behalf to make atonement for our sin, that reconciles us and makes us children of God. His finished work brings those who believe victory and our testimony is reminder of that fact!

Satan has no power over you Christian for Christ has removed his clutch from you and even now when he accuses you Jesus makes intercession for you.You can't lose in Christ! What a Savior we have in Jesus.

We give Satan plenty to accuse us of and yet the grace of God is greater.God's forgiveness extends to the uttermost.May we live in victory and bring glory to God and give the enemy less to accuse us of. Satans demise is written. He has no hope to overcome for the blood of Jesus has brought victory to all who believe.Rejoice and be glad!

Father we thank You for the blood of Jesus and for the testimony we've been given as a result.Let us live in victory. If we are shackled let us remember the redemptive and freeing work of Jesus and simply walk in the victory we've been given in Jesus. Fill us with faith and belief we pray in Jesus name, amen!
