Psalm 61:1-3

Psalm 61:1–3 (ESV): "1  Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer; 2  from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I, 3  for you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy."

When life happens and your heart is faint and broken look to the Lord to lead you to the Rock, who is Christ Jesus our Lord. For in Him we find strength, sanctuary, and safety. This kind of prayer God will always honor and answer.

Life seemed to happen a lot to David. From his wanderings as a shepherd boy who fiercely protected his sheep, to the battleground of giants and the insurrection of his own son, David knew what it meant to an underdog. However, he also knew of a place that brings strength and hope to any circumstance. It was the Rock he desired to be led to in times of trouble for in Christ we find a firm foundation and ability and strength to endure, persevere, and overcome. When David was overwhelmed with life, he cried out to God to lead him back to the Rock. David knew God would answer him.

Are you faint-hearted today? Overwhelmed by life and the heaviness it can bring? You too can cry out to the Lord to lead you to the Rock. Jesus is ready to bring stability, strength, and salvation to your situation. Don't try and face it alone, run to the Rock, and watch God work mightily on your behalf. All you have to do is ask and God will honor your request. Don't let life leave you hopeless and defeated...look to Jesus, He never loses a battle. Amen?

Father, we thank You that we have a place to go in all circumstances in life. No situation is hopeless when we get our eyes on the Rock. Jesus is our victor and overcomes all things. Thank you for giving us a means of victory in all things. Lead us to the Rock even now we pray in Jesus' name, amen!
