Psalm 34:1-3

Psalm 34:1–3 (ESV): "1  I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2  My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad. 3  Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together!"

God is worthy of being blessed and praised at all times. Nothing on this earth can separate us from His love...come on! No wonder we can bless and praise Him in all things.

When David penned this psalm he was being pursued by Saul and was banished from Gath (the city Goliath was from). He was a menace to society, a reject by many, and yet his resolve was, "I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth." That's a mic drop where I come from. Not only does David resolve within himself but then he invites us to join in with him.

What's stopping you from blessing and praising God? Is it a circumstance...a trial...what is standing in the way? David says at the soul level there is blessing and praise. You will never enter this place of proper position before the Lord until you resolve in your heart to bless and praise Him no matter what. What else needs to be said? Make your resolve as David did to bless and praise Him regardless of what is happening in your life and your soul will make its boast in the Lord. Amen?

Father, we bless and praise You for who You are. You are the Lord Almighty and that will never change so let us choose to bless and praise You at all times, even when things are tough. Your worthiness isn't affected by our momentary afflictions. Give us the understanding and strength to bless and praise You always we pray in Jesus precious name, amen!
