Psalm 3:3-4

Psalm 3:3–4 (ESV): "3  But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. 4  I cried aloud to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah."

The protection we have from God is second to none. He is our fortress and our shield. We are totally secure in Him.

David knew what it was like to be betrayed. His own son Absolom won the hearts of the people of Israel and betrayed his father because his brother Solomon would receive the throne. David fled from death and yet he knew he was not alone. The Lord was with him protecting him as a shield would a soldier. God heard Davids cries for help and He showed up as always and encouraged David that all would be ok.

God hears your cries, Christain. He sees you in the midst of your trouble and mourning and protects you from the enemy. God gently places His hand under your chin and lifts your head up declaring "it is finished" and "I will never leave you or forsake you." He reminds us that He is ever-present in every circumstance. He hears you so don't fret receive His comfort today and sense His protection. He is with you and will shield you through the pain and difficulty. Just keep your eyes on Him.

Father, we thank You that there is no enemy that can penetrate Your protection. You are stronger than all our enemies combined. Thank You for hearing our cries of betrayal and suffering. Increase our sense of Your presence and help us to feel secure in You Lord. May we receive the comfort and encourage You are faithful to give and trust You to the end we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
