Psalm 27:14

Psalm 27:14 (ESV): "14 Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!"

The hardest thing to do in the midst of a trial or while facing tribulation is to wait on the Lord for deliverance.God is in control and could take away your trial in an instant. If He is still allowing it, it is because He is still working through it.So don't freak out, wait on God.He will by no means fail you.

David knew what it meant to be tried by fire. From the time he was called to the throne of Israel he faced trial, tribulation, and persecution. From Saul to his own children David had lots of challenges and stresses. He reminds himself in this psalm where his help comes from for the Lord is His strong tower thus he can be comfortable in waiting while taking courage in the midst of his troubles. He knew he could do that because God was for him and if God is for you, who can be against you?

Sometimes we can feel like God isn't for us but that is a lie.Just because God hasn't rescued you or me from suffering doesn't mean He isn't pleased with us or for us.He loves us!He always has, even in our worst moments, and He always will!Wait on Him.He is working behind the scenes on your behalf to work the trial out for your good.Take courage and rejoice in His presence. He is near and He will never leave or forsake you.Find comfort and sanctuary in that truth today and ask the Lord to help you wait on Him.May that be our only reaction to all of life's circumstances. Amen?

Father, You alone are worthy of our worship and praise. We give thanks to You oh Lord for Your mercies are new each day.Increase our faith in You that we might be able to wait on You with perfect peace.May we face all of life's trials in this manner and bring glory to Your name we pray in Jesus name, amen!
