Psalm 19:1 (ESV): "1 The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork."
The existence of God is clearly seen in His creation. His fingerprints are everywhere. The world is without excuse when it comes to belief in the Creator for God has made His attributes clearly seen throughout the universe.
David grew up a shepherd and would no doubt spend countless nights in the fields protecting and guiding his sheep. It was under the stars he learned much about God. As he gazed into the vastness of the heavens they spoke sermon after sermon to his heart about the Creator and His majesty. Who could create such beauty and wonder but God? It was these thoughts that built God up so big in David's life that he became fearless before creation for had come into a personal relationship with the Creator Himself.
Part of the purpose for the Feast of Booths or Tabernacles was to teach the younger generations about God while living under the stars for one week. What an incredible illustration before the eyes of man. The billions of stars burning bright would proclaim an unforgettable picture before them of who God is. That is why Paul said in Romans 1:19–20 (ESV): "19 For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. 20 For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse."
The answer to God's existence is all around us. All man must do is stop doubting it. The enemy knows creation tells His story and thus he had to come up with a lie to deflect the reality that God is clearly seen in His handiwork. Get before the stars often and ponder how great our God is as David did and you too will be amazed. It will strengthen your faith and build you up with courage for you will see as David did that if God is for me, who can be against me. Amen?
Father, how clear it is that You exist. You have planted us in the evidence room of the existence. Your fingerprints are everywhere. Thank You for making it so easy to find You. Thank You for creating such beauty and wonder in this world for it declares to us who You are. May we not miss the signs that are all around us screaming out the glory of who You are. Increase our faith as we ponder. Move mightily in our hearts as we gaze upon the effects of Your spoken words we pray in Jesus' name, amen!
