Psalm 150:6

Psalm 150:6 (ESV): "6  Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!"

Praise is the proper response to God always. The word literally means to shine, to flash forth light, to be boastful. It can be translated as Hallelujah. Raise praise to our great God and King forever and ever.

It is no coincidence that the last psalm we find in the book of Psalms is an exhortation to praise God. The psalmist proclaims we are to praise Him in the sanctuary and in the heavens. We are to praise Him for His mighty deeds and according to His greatness. We are to praise Him with instruments of all kinds. Everything that has breath should praise Him at all times.

Only God is worthy of our utmost praise. May we shine brightly as a light of praise to Him. May we boast joyfully and loudly of all His great works. Let not your mouth be silent. Praise Him today. Raise a hallelujah wherever you are to Him. Let the world know who is responsible for all the good that is in your life. Give God all the glory that He alone deserves. May we be a spark of spontaneous praise to every living creature as we praise Him with every breath we breathe.

Father, we glorify and praise You for who You are. There is none like You in all the earth. You are so incredibly good to us. We want Your name to be known by all. May the world hear of all Your great acts and deeds through the sound of our voices. We truly praise You. Hallelujah to our King and Creator, our Lord and Savior, in Jesus mighty name we pray, amen.
