Psalm 143:10

Psalm 143:10 (ESV): "10  Teach me to do your will, for you are my God! Let your good Spirit lead me on level ground!"

How teachable are you? When people offer you help with wisdom and counsel do you already know it all or do you really consider what is being said? The key to godliness is found in our ability to remain teachable and allowing the Spirit to lead freely in our lives.

David asks God to teach him to walk in His will. He also understands the Spirit's role to lead us to places of truth and goodness. The reality is God has already committed to teaching us His will the problem isn't His willingness but our teachability. That means we are ready to do His will. If we have no intention to do what He says then we will never understand His will. He is looking for loyal hearts to show Himself strong (2 Chron 16:9).

Do you really want to know and live out God's will for your life? If so, you must be willing to do what He says and go where His Spirit leads. Jesus said, if you love me, you will keep my commands. Our love for God is evidence of our willingness to follow Him. Don't let your feelings trick you from obtaining God's best. Remain humble and teachable and walk in obedience and you will be right in the center of His will.

Father, thank You that You have made it Your will that we know Your will. Thank You for Your Spirit who leads us in all truth. Keep our hearts soft and willing that we might walk in Your ways and never forsake the truth. Mold us and make us who You created us to be we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
