Psalm 108:13

Psalm 108:13 (ESV): "13  With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes."

Victory is a surety when you stand in the Lord. He never loses a war. It might appear like He is losing but understand the Lord is positioning Himself and those who are in Him for victory. Walk by faith not by sight!

David makes an emphatic statement in this psalm regarding our position in every battle, that although the enemy we face is far bigger than us in and of ourselves, he is no match for the Lord! In Him, we shall fight like a thousand men and He WILL strike down our enemies. The key is found in following the battle strategy God has given us. In Jericho it was marching around the city for seven days and then blowing trumpets (Joshua 7), in Midian, it was with jars and trumpets (Judges 7). Victory is sure if you follow the Lord's plan.

The battle strategy we've been given by God is to pray, resist, and flee. Pray for deliverance from the evil one (Matt 6:13), resist the devil by not allowing him to intimidate you (James 4:7), and flee from your sinful desires (2 Tim 2:22). We do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against the rules, authorities, and powers over this present darkness thus we must fight these battles in Him. Put on the armor of God (Eph 6:13-20) and gain the victory the Lord has promised. Amen?

Father, we thank You that You are the Lord Almighty and that all things are under your feet. The enemy has no power over You and thus if we walk in You he has no power over us. Help us to see that we are valiant in You. We give You the battle today and ask that You give us the faith to fight the good fight, to keep the faith and walk in victory we pray in Jesus name, amen.
