Proverbs 30:7-9

Proverbs 30:7–9 (ESV): "7 Two things I ask of you; deny them not to me before I die: 8 Remove far from me falsehood and lying; give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with the food that is needful for me, 9 lest I be full and deny you and say, "Who is the Lord?" or lest I be poor and steal and profane the name of my God."

The heart of a person who is satisfied in Christ has but only two concerns, that they live according to the truth and that they have what they need in terms of daily provisions so they can focus their full attention on Him.Have this kind of heart!

Agur understood that success in our spiritual lives comes through two important areas; truth and contentment. If we live in the truth we will never be fooled into thinking God isn't anything but good. And secondly, if we seek God for only our necessities we will be free from defaming or forgetting Him. What amazing insight we find here.

What are your personal prayers to God like? Are you asking Him to keep you from falsehood? Are you asking for God to bless you materially so you have no needs?Walking in truth will keep you in the center of God's will and being content will keep you free from defaming God or forgetting who He is.Our heart's desire should be to bring Him the utmost glory and that can only happen when we walk in the truth and live contently in His provisions.

Make this your prayer to God.Ask Him to lead you into all truth and keep you content with only the necessities of life that you can truly live for Him and bring Him the utmost glory.A prayer like this He will not deny.He will honor your request and do exceedingly and abundantly more than you ask.Amen?

Father, we thank You for giving us abundant grace in our lives. Our heart's desire is to know You and become more like You.Lead us away from the deceit of our own hearts and the lies of the enemy. Also, give us what we need daily that our focus wouldn't be on getting more but being content with what You provide.Have Your way we pray in Jesus' name, amen!
