Micah 7:18-19

Micah 7:18–19 (ESV): "18  Who is a God like you, pardoning iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of his inheritance? He does not retain his anger forever, because He delights in steadfast love. 19  He will again have compassion on us; he will tread our iniquities underfoot. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea."

God is loving, merciful, compassionate, and forgiving. He restores sinners with the blood of His Only Son. What more must He do to declare His thoughts and feelings for you? You are far more loved and cherished than you realize!

Micah means "Who is like Yahweh." It's appropriate then for him to wrap up his prophetic writings with that thought. He makes a wonderful redemptive declaration over the nation of Israel here. God will forgive His people, He will grant a pardon through His Son. His anger will be engulfed in His steadfast love for those who repent. He will be faithful to His promise to Abraham.

God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His heart for Israel demonstrates His heart for all human beings. He desires to redeem and restore. He has more compassion for you than you could ever imagine because it is fueled by steadfast love. The supply is endless. It is His joy to forgive and when He does He remembers your sin no more. Who is like Yahweh? No one is like Him. That is why we have such a hard time believing it! God is not a liar. He is who He says He is! May you believe it and receive it personally today.

Father, amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me! I once was lost but now I am found, was blind but now I see. Thank You for being who You are. We love you in Jesus' name, amen.
