Matthew 5:9

Matthew 5:9 (ESV): "9 "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God."

Every child in the Lord's family is a middle child. That means we are to be peacemakers! May we do all that we can to bring and live at peace with all men.

The seventh Beatitude relates to our commission by God to be peacemakers. What Jesus means by this is that we, as His ambassadors, are to make every effort to reconcile and be reconciled with others. Jesus came to bring peace so it makes sense that His disciples make every effort to bring peace as well for we have been given the ministry of reconciliation (2 Cor 5:18). Thus, those who are true peacemakers are called sons of God. The genuineness of salvation is evident in the willingness to share with others what you have been given.

What are you doing daily to be a peacemaker for the Lord? The reality is that the only message that can bring true peace in a person's life is the Gospel so if you aren't sharing it, begin today. God so desires to use you to bring peace to those who are at war with Him. Walk-in boldness and proclaim the Gospel of peace to all men. Amen?

Father, we praise You for the peace that You bring to this world through Your Son. May we be faithful to bring the same
peace that we've been given to this restless world by sharing the Gospel of peace. May we also strive to live at peace with all people for Your honor and glory we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
