Matthew 25:31-32 (ESV): "31 When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats."
The greatest question a person can answer regarding their salvation is not if they know Jesus but does Jesus know them! Since the inception of the church, a type of Judas has always existed. Jesus will never be fooled. He knows exactly who belongs to Him and He will separate the two at the beginning of the Millennial Reign and those who are His will enter it and those who aren't will be judged accordingly. You want to make sure Jesus knows you!
As Jesus continues in the Olivet Discourse He goes beyond the original question His disciples asked regarding His Second Coming and explains the judgment that will occur at the establishment of the Millennial Kingdom. Jesus will use the works of man to demonstrate genuine salvation. He clearly states here that the evidence of a person's salvation is found in how they live their lives daily. Those who don't serve others don't belong to Jesus...ouch! Only true believers will enter the Millennial Kingdom.
Are you confident you are part of the flock of God? What makes you so sure? Jesus said those who belong to Him serve Him and don't even recognize it. It flows from the innermost being of their hearts. It's who they are. Those who don't, won't serve anyone but themselves. The evidence is found in their love for others. Take a moment and consider this day, do my works demonstrate the salvation I claim? If they don't perhaps the first place to start is to invite Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. Yield yourself to Him and He will lead you into His fold and you will build a testimony that declares "Jesus knows me", amen?
Father, we thank You for being so clear and direct with us. May those who are faking it be convicted to Godly repentance and those who are walking faithfully be strengthened to serve even more until You return or call us home we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
