Matthew 14:17-18

Matthew 14:17–18 (ESV): "17 They said to him, "We have only five loaves here and two fish." 18 And he said, "Bring them here to me."

Jesus doesn't need a lot to work but He does need something. If He can take five loaves and two fish imagine what He can do with a little bit of your time and talents. All He needs is your willingness to offer Him what you have!

After Jesus spoke in many parables He went on to His hometown where He was rejected. He then withdrew to a desolate place but a multitude followed Him there. The disciples were worn out and wanted to send them away for food for they only had five fish and two loaves. Jesus rebukes them for not being willing to serve the people and said, "bring to Me what you have." He then blessed it, broke the bread, and feed five thousand men, not including all the women and children that were present.

Have you grown weary in serving the people of this world? Would you rather send them away rather than minister to them? Jesus told His disciples to give the people something to eat. You can be used by God by offering to the Lord the little bit that you have. Give Him ten minutes and see what He will do. Offer Him the little bit of skill that you have and watch Him multiply it to bless others. Just come to Him with what you have and He will do the rest. Amen?

Father, we thank You for using the little that we have to bless those in this world. May we never grow weary of serving those in need. Keep our hearts others-centered and willing to offer up the very last crumbs we have that some might come to know You we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
