Mark 3:27

Mark 3:27 (ESV): "27 But no one can enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man. Then indeed he may plunder his house."

Satan is a strong man but Jesus is stronger. He comes into the house of the enemy and binds and plunders his house because He is greater than Satan. We are weak and susceptible to the enemy in and of ourselves thus we need the stronger man Jesus to overtake the enemy on our behalf!

After Jesus had appointed the twelve disciples He went home and crowds of people gathered there. His family thought He was out of His mind because of the way He was ministering. Then the scribes came down from Jerusalem and accused Jesus of working in the power of Satan. Jesus replied, "a house that is divided against itself cannot stand." He went on to tell the parable of the strongman who is Satan. Jesus said he must first be bound for work to be done declaring He has the binding power over the enemy.

As real and powerful as the enemy is in this world, Jesus is greater. He can bind the enemy in his own house and steal hearts away from him. All we must do is proclaim the name of Jesus for it binds the enemy. Don't fret the spiritual attacks, just proclaim the name of Jesus. In Him we have power and authority to overcome the enemy. Proclaim His name often Christian and don't let the enemy become a strongman over you. Bind him in the name of Jesus, amen?

Father, we thank You for Your power and might to overcome the enemy. We pray that You Bind Satan in our lives and render him powerless. Change our hearts in the areas we are giving him power and take full control of our house we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
