Mark 3:11-12

Mark 3:11–12 (ESV): "11 And whenever the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, "You are the Son of God." 12 And he strictly ordered them not to make Him known."

Jesus has authority over all creation. This includes principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness. It's a wonder how man stands proudly before Him as if he is common but the demons fall before Him.

As Jesus was traveling from Galilee and Judea and Jerusalem and Idumea and from beyond the Jordan and from around Tyre and Sidon a great crowd followed Him. He healed many with diseases and many more crowded Him in hopes of being healed by Him. There were also demon-possessed people in their midst and when they saw Jesus the unclean spirits fell before Him declaring "You are the Son of God." Jesus strictly ordered them not to make Him known.

How do you respond to the Son of God as one of His creations? The demons fall before Him because He possesses all authority. They fear Him because of who He is. It's interesting how comfortable we get in His presence as if He is just one of the guys. He is the Lord of all, our Creator and Savior. Perhaps we too should be falling before Him in declaration of who He is. Spend some time today thinking about the person of Jesus Christ and respond accordingly, amen?

Father, we thank You for Your grace and goodness in our lives. How amazing it is that You desire a relationship with us. Help us to have the right view of You and that we respond accordingly. Let us never lose the proper fear of the One who hung the stars we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
