Luke 6:11

Luke 6:11 (ESV): "11 But they were filled with fury and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus."

Pleasing people isn't wrong but it is exhausting for you will never be able to please everyone. The best thing to do is decide who it is you wanna please and then never stray from that line.

Jesus was ridiculed by the most knowledgeable and distinguished in the land. I'm sure that didn't feel good but He didn't stop being Himself because of it. He aimed to please His Father and He never strayed from that focus. He healed people on the Sabbath, He didn't follow man's law like the religious leaders commanded but He was also not a rebel looking to start a revolution. He simply chose the One whom
He desired to please and lived His life accordingly.

Who are you living to please? If it is anyone other than God you will fail miserably. Man's standard is a moving target. God simply requires us to live by faith to please Him. Choose this day whom you will serve. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord!

Father, we thank You for the example of Jesus who lived in a contentious and vicious world just like we do and yet sinned not. May we live with You in mind and no one else. Everything else will fall in line when we keep You first. We surrender our will to Yours even now we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
