Luke 4:43

Luke 4:43 (ESV): "43 but he said to them, "I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns as well; for I was sent for this purpose."

The greatest quest in life for every human heart is to find the purpose of existence. Many will stare it in the face and miss it because it's not what they were thinking. Jesus knew why He existed, it was to institute the Good News. Our purpose is to receive that Good News and then spread it as far and wide as we can. You’re welcome.

After Jesus left His hometown He went to Capernaum and healed a demon-possessed man. Then he came to Simon's house and healed his mother-in-law and many others there. Early in the morning the following day Jesus departed to a desolate place to pray and the people sought Him for they wanted to keep Him with them but He told them He must depart to share the Good News of the kingdom with the other cities for this was His purpose for being sent.

Knowing why you are here is important. You exist on this earth for two reasons, to know Christ and to make Him known. That is it! It's not to build generational wealth for your children or accomplish some specific goals you've set. It's to know Christ first and then to make Him known. If what you are doing currently doesn't align with this then you are off mission. If that's you, get back on track today. Make it your aim to know Jesus and to make Him known for this is why you were sent. Amen?

Father, forgive us for getting off mission at times. May we spend this life knowing You and making You known. Keep us on track to fulfilling our purpose we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
