Luke 24:44-45

Luke 24:44–45 (ESV): "44 Then he said to them, "These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you, that everything written about me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fulfilled." 45 Then he opened their minds to understand the Scriptures…"

The Word of God is a book full of wonder as it gives the human mind insight into the person and plan of God. We can both know God and His plans for mankind by allowing Him to open our minds to His thoughts and ways. This is the key to understanding the Scriptures!

There is no other book in the world that compares to the Word of God. It is prophetic, telling us what to expect in the future, but at the same time, it is a mirror that reflects the true heart of its reader. Never has there been or ever will be a book like this. It does however require an interpreter. God the Holy Spirit must be our teacher if we desire to rightly divide it. Thankfully He is available to anyone who desires to seek the truth.

How do you read the Word of God? Do you come at it like a normal book or do you realize it is supernatural? Only God can unlock the truth to us. We will never rightly divide it on our own. Pray before you read. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth to you and believe upon it by faith. He will always lead us to the feet of Jesus and nowhere else. Amen? Pray, seek, and listen intently and your mind will be opened to understand the Scriptures.

Father, we praise You for giving us Your Word to guide us in this life. May the Holy Spirit give us understanding as we seek to know You more and may we never attempt to interpret Your Word without His presence we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
