Luke 11:13

Luke 11:13 (ESV): 13 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!"

The art of receiving from God is found in these three words: "ask, seek, and knock." You have not because you ask not and you ask amiss. God wants us to know that He sees, hears, and responds to our prayers. Only a good Father would train His children in this way.

Kingdom principles are often so contrary to the ways of this world. When we want something in this life we must rise up and take it. We don't wait on anyone to supply our needs we take what we want at all costs. That is the flesh. Jesus said if you need something ask God. Seek Him fervently and knock persistently by His will and you will have what you need.

Are passive in your pursuit of the things you need? Don't take the approach that God knows already, do what Jesus said, ask, seek, and knock. He promises that God will give us what we need, namely the Holy Spirit. In Him, we have all things for life and godliness. Walk dependently upon God and you won't ever be in want, amen?

Father, we thank You that You are more than enough for us. Help us to live in surrender to You, asking, seeking, and knocking that our hearts might be aligned with Yours we pray in Jesus name, amen.
