Luke 1:27-29

Luke 1:27–29 (ESV): "28 And he came to her and said, "Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!" 29 But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be."

There is no greater joy in life than to be called by God to be His hands and feet on earth. He created you and me for something specific and He will call us to it in His timing!

After Gabriel was sent to notify Zechariah about the blessing of a son who would be the forerunner for the Messiah, he came to a young woman named Mary with similar news. Gabriel announced that Mary was favored by God and that He had chosen her for a great task, to be the mother of the promised Messiah. She would conceive in her womb (as a virgin) and bear a son and His name should be called Jesus, which means "to deliver or rescue."

Did you know that you too are favored by God and that He is with you! Did you know that you are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works that He created beforehand? That means that God has customized you in creation to fulfill a specific task (or tasks) for Him. You were created with a purpose! The only responsibility we have in this is to remain ready and willing. He will reveal it when it is time. Meanwhile, we should be loving and serving Him in every way we know how. Be encouraged Christian, God is and will use You. Just be ready and willing! Amen?

Father, we thank You for creating us with purpose. May we not grow weary as we wait to see what it might be but just love and serve You right where we are. May our hearts be loyal to You all the days of our lives as You are unwaveringly faithful to us. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
