John 6:41–42 (ESV): "41 So the Jews grumbled about him, because he said, "I am the bread that came down from heaven." 42 They said, "Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does he now say, 'I have come down from heaven'?"
Life is like a play on Broadway, it's open for critique. Not everyone will enjoy the storyline or the main characters but no one can deny the experience of another. Your experience is your experience and the critics might disagree with it but they cannot take it away from you.
The world was puzzled about Jesus. They weren't sure what to make of Him. He was born of a virgin which many denied. He worked miracles that some said were by the power of the devil. Some hated His message and called Him a liar. He carried a mixed bag of critiques but one thing was certain, no one could delete His life experience. Some might reject it but no one could change His storyline. He was from heaven and no one could take that away from Him.
How many times have people denied your story? Maybe they don't buy the Jesus stuff but that's ok. They don't have to. It doesn't change your story or the reality that you should continue to share your story. Many will critique it but they cannot take it away from you. Let the world know what Jesus has done for you! You won't win them all over but the few that you do will be worth it, amen? It's your story, tell it often.
Father, we thank You that even though many deny the work of Christ in our lives it doesn't change the fact that He has come and taken residence in us and changed us with the eternal Gospel. May we tell the whole world what He has done as often as we can we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
