John 1:40-42

John 1:40–42 (ESV): "40 One of the two who heard John speak and followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. 41 He first found his own brother Simon and said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which means Christ). 42 He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon the son of John. You shall be called Cephas" (which means Peter)."

One of the greatest things we can do for our loved ones is introduce them to Jesus. They have to take it from there but what a privilege it is to say, "I found the Messiah (Savior) and I want to introduce Him to you."

Andrew was a man who was spiritually intuned. We don't know much about him other than he lived in that shadow of his brother Peter. Interesting enough it was Andrew who sat under John the Baptist as his disciple and who meet Jesus first. He then came to his brother Peter and exclaimed, "Peter, we have found the Messiah." I wonder if Peter went with Andrew to prove him wrong. Peter's life radically changed all because his brother was willing to risk it all and tell him about Jesus.

We have a privileged position in that we are called by the Lord to introduce people to Him. What a wonderful job we've been given to share the Messiah with everyone we know. It's something we should be excited about. Run to your family and friends and let them know you have found Jesus and then introduce them to Him. Your not responsible for how they respond. Just tell them! Amen?

Father, thank You for introducing us to Your Son. Use us to introduce Him to others in our lives. May we have opportunities even today we pray in Jesus name, amen.
