Job 19:25-27

Job 19:25–27 (ESV): "25 For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last, he will stand upon the earth. 26 And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh, I shall see God, 27 whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. My heart faints within me!"

The hope for all humanity is found in the person of Jesus Christ. He is our Redeemer who has come and is coming soon and when He does all flesh will bow before Him.He is our single source of hope in all things.

No matter what Job faced he knew the reality that he had a Redeemer that was able to buy back all that he had lost.He came to the understanding that all of what he was experiencing was temporary for even though his skin would perish "in his flesh he would see God." His hope was not in this life but the next.He knew he would one day see Jesus face to face and then all would be restored. His hope was in heaven!

Everything we face in this life is temporary folks. Job understood this and is learning through his trial to keep an eternal perspective. It's what keeps us encouraged in our suffering.Eternity awaits us all. There is a Redeemer who has paid the price so that you and I can be with Him in heaven. For those who reject the Redeemer, they will face eternity alone separated from God but for those who put their trust in Jesus, they shall surely live.

Keep looking up Church, our Redeemer lives and He is coming soon.May we always remember the words Paul penned in Romans 8:18 (ESV): "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us."The world is not our home! The Lord is coming soon so people get ready!Amen?

Father, we thank You for giving us hope in hard times. For those who have trusted in Jesus the price for sin has been paid and our debt he been removed. Everything we face today is temporary and we will never experience suffering again when our Redeemer returns or calls us home. Keep us encouraged with this eternal hope as we suffer through hardship. Fill us with Your Spirit we pray in Jesus name, amen!
