Jeremiah 30:19

Jeremiah 30:19 (ESV): "19  Out of them shall come songs of thanksgiving, and the voices of those who celebrate. I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will make them honored, and they shall not be small."

God is a redemptive God! He builds beauty from ashes and His people rejoice. May God hear the sound of new songs from you who have been rescued from the clutches of sin and death. Let His name be praised!

God was sharing with Jeremiah the redemptive work He would do to those who turn their hearts back to Him. He declares they will sing songs of thanksgiving and celebrate the great work God has done on their behalf. Notice, they will be multiplied and honored not because they deserve it but because God is gracious.

Although this promise is specific to Israel and the deliverance God will give them from the Babylonian captivity it can be applied to every Christian for God had redeemed us through His Son Jesus Christ. This redemption is eternal. Forever and ever we will sing of what He has done. He will make His people great and will honor those who serve Him well with a crown. May we rejoice today in what He has done. May we sing Hallelujah, glory to God in the highest! Remind yourself of what is ahead for you. Glory awaits you because He redeemed you. Thank you, LORD!

Father, all praise, honor, and glory belong to You. We owe You our lives. Thank You for redeeming us and delivering us from our captivity. Help us to give thanks always in all things for You are working out Your plan in our lives. May we never take our eyes off You we pray in Jesus' name, amen!
