Jeremiah 20:10-11

Jeremiah 20:10–11 (ESV): "10  For I hear many whispering. Terror is on every side! "Denounce him! Let us denounce him!" say all my close friends, watching for my fall. "Perhaps he will be deceived; then we can overcome him and take our revenge on him."11  But the Lord is with me as a dread warrior; therefore my persecutors will stumble; they will not overcome me. They will be greatly shamed, for they will not succeed. Their eternal dishonor will never be forgotten."

Being a voice-box for God can be a very isolated calling depending on the message. It's all great when the message is full of blessings but when it comes with rebuke and consequence the response might be different. Never stop speaking what He has put on your heart to say because you're worried about how it will be received.

Jeremiah came to a place where his proclamations were making him a hated man. God was pronouncing judgment on the people of Judah for going after idols and sacrificing their children etc. Jeremiah was the deliverer of the bad news and it was starting to cost him. He wanted to shut up the message but when he tried it burned within him and made him weary of holding it back. Thankfully he was reminded that no matter what God would be with him and protect him. His only responsibility was to be faithful to God.

We too must declare the message we have been given. The Gospel is a stumbling block to those who do not want to hear it and thus it can create divisions and even dissolve long-term relationships but that doesn't mean we silence the message. We must be faithful to God at all cost. The message we have been given saves lives but also condemns. Let us never cease declaring it even if it costs us. God is with you, He will never leave you so be faithful to Him, amen?

Father, we thank You for choosing us to represent You in these last days. Help us to share the message of the Gospel with as many people as we can. When it gets hostile let us not become offended but let us remain faithful. We have a higher calling. Fill us with faith and diligence to make the Good News is known to all we come in contact with we pray in Jesus name, amen.
