Jeremiah 1:19

Jeremiah 1:19 (ESV): "19 They will fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you, for I am with you, declares the Lord, to deliver you."

The Christian has the world at a great disadvantage for God is on our side. It doesn't matter if all the armies of the world stand together in opposition of the man of God they cannot prevail against him for if God is for you, who can be against you?

Jeremiah was sent out into the world as a fortified city, built up and protected on every side. He was to speak all that God commanded him without worry of the repercussions for God would protect him. His one job was to share the message God had given him. It was not a popular message either, it was a message of exile for Judah due to their sinful lifestyles and idolatrous ways.

Like Jeremiah, we too have a message that if rejected will lead to condemnation and exile. The difference is our message is hope offered. The Gospel is the only message that can save sinners from the clutches of Hell but rejection of it also means eternal condemnation. Our world is hostile towards this message as was Judah to Jeremiah but we must press on and share what God has given us to share unashamedly. He is with You Christian. You have nothing to fear. You are a fortified city until the Lord calls you home so walk in His strength and let the world know how much they are loved lest they spend eternity in utter darkness. Proclaim the Gospel and worry not about how it will be received. Amen?

Father, we thank You that You have put a message in our hearts and upon our lips that can save. Let us also not neglect to declare the condemnation that awaits those who reject it. We are to offer hope and warn the world at the same time of the judgment that awaits those outside of Christ. Help us to be faithful to the Good News in every way we pray in Jesus' name, amen!
