Isaiah 41:9-10

Isaiah 41:9–10 (ESV): "9  you whom I took from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest corners, saying to you, "You are my servant, I have chosen you and not cast you off"; 10  fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

God has an everlasting covenant with the Nation of Israel. He will never forsake them. The same holds true for the believer in Christ. We are secure and safe in Him. God will never forsake us no matter what we do for we are His chosen.

Isaiah reminds the people of Judah that they are God's chosen people not because of their achievements but because of God's grace and mercy for them. He chose them, they didn't choose Him. He called Abraham out from a distant land to a place where He would show Him. He established a covenant with Abraham that He would become the Father of many nations including that of Israel (Gen 12; 13; 15). The people of Judah have nothing to fear but God Himself for He is for them and will work with them to establish His promises forever and ever through His right hand!

Jesus said to those in the Church, "You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide (Jn 15:10)." Christians are chosen by God and blood-bought into the New Covenant. God will never forsake you. He will be with you. and will pave the way for you in every circumstance, so fear not! Remind yourself often who you belong to and trust in His promises. You are a child of the Most High God and you are being held by His right hand. You are secure in Christ and God will not cast you off, amen?

Father, we thank You for reminding us of all we have in Christ. Thank You for choosing us and for never forsaking us. We thank You for the nation of Israel and the great plan You have for them. May we rest in Your grace and trust in the finished work of Your Son and never think for a second You have left us. You are with us always and we will be with You for all of eternity thanks to Jesus. All glory, honor, and praise are given to You in Jesus' name, amen.
