Isaiah 26:3-4

Isaiah 26:3–4 (ESV): "3  You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you,

because he trusts in you. 4  Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting rock."

Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace. Not only do we gain peace with God when we believe in Him but we also get the peace of God when we keep our eyes fixed upon Him. Trust the Lord always and you will live in the peace of God.

During a time of great uncertainty, the people of Judah tried to turn to man for help and that only got them in more trouble. They were hoping in the Assyrians to help them overcome the Northern Kingdom and Syria. The Lord assured them that their enemies would not prevail but the one in whom they trust would conquer them, then eventually they would be led into Babylonian captivity. It was an uneasy feeling no doubt but Isaiah reminds them that they have a source of peace that surpasses all understanding. If they keep their minds stayed on God they will have perfect peace!

What is robbing you of perfect peace today Christian? Circumstances come and go but our trust in the Lord shouldn't waver. When we keep our minds stayed on the Lord nothing that comes at us will phase us became He is our strong tower, our refuge and strength. He has overcome all things and thus we have no worries. Keep your mind stayed on Christ, don't let your eyes be fixed on anyone or anything else and you will have perfect peace. If you lack peace today consider what your mind is stayed on and what your heart is trusting in. Get them both back on the Lord and you will have perfect peace. Amen?

Father, we thank You for being our source of peace. Without the sacrifice of Your Son we could not have peace with You, nor could we have perfect peace from You. Move our hearts and minds to be stayed on You. Help us to fully trust in Your plan and live in perfect peace we pray in Jesus name, amen.
