Isaiah 2:2

Isaiah 2:2 (ESV): "2  It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow to it."

There is come a time when this world will be at perfect peace. Jesus will be ruling on His earthly throne from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. Don't fret the collapse of this old system, a better one is coming.

Isaiah sees a vision of the Messiah ruling and reigning from the mountain. This is a reference to Jerusalem and specifically the highest mountain, not in terms of physical height but spiritual height. The Temple Mount is the highest spiritual mountain in all the world. At His second coming, Jesus will take His rightful place as King of all the earth and rule for 1000 years. At which time all men will flow to Him. All the "spears" will be hammered into "plows" for true peace has come to this earth.

As we watch the nations fumble and fall we need not be concerned as Christians. It's supposed to happen. There is a stripping away of all security in this system by the Lord. He is using it to reveal Himself to a lost and dying world. We know the end game is Christ seated on the throne in Jerusalem for millennia. Those who are in Christ will rule and reign with Him (Rev 5:10; 2 Tim 2:12). Trust the Lord in these latter days for He is at work to accomplish His purpose. Amen?

Father, thank You for giving us a clear understanding of things to come. Help us to not grow fearful as You are preparing the world for the Second Coming of Your Son. May the signs we see put an urgency in our hearts to share the Gospel with as many can. Fill us with your Spirit and let us not grow weary while we wait we pray in Jesus name, amen!
