Genesis 6:11-15

Genesis 6:11–15 (ESV): "11 Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. 13 And God said to Noah, "I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth. 14 Make yourself an ark of gopher wood. Make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch. 15 This is how you are to make it:"

Our world has seen its fair share of devastation. America alone has seen the effects of situations like September 11th and Pearl Harbor. However, nothing compares to the devastation that occurred in the flood when God judged the earth and all that is in it.

After dealing with the Nephilim debacle God considers the rest of the inhabitants of earth and comes to the decision to end it all. There was only one man that God could save and it was the man named Noah. He didn't live like everyone else. He remained true to God and because of that God was going to save him from the wrath to come. The only thing that would stand in the way of Noahs success was in his ability to do things exactly as God prescribed. God gives Noah a detailed blueprint of the Ark. It would become the vessel that would save him and his family.

So too is our salvation prescribed in a blueprint for us. Our only hope in being saved is to follow the plan as prescribed by God. We must confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in one heart that God raised Him from the dead. Jesus is our ark and He will not only weather every storm with us but He will also deliver us from the mighty wrath of God that awaits those who aren't in right relationship with Him. The only way to be delivered is to follow God's plan exactly. You must trust in Jesus alone. If you haven't, do it now for the great day of His wrath is quickly approaching. Don't wait, confess and believe today and you will be saved!

Father we thank You for Your grace and mercy. Thank you for Your love for us and the deliverance from Your wrath through Your Son. We deserve the full brunt of Your judgement and yet Jesus willing took our place on the cross and paid the debt we could not pay. All glory, honor and praise be to You. May we keep You a priority as You have kept us a priority. Forgive us, fill us and send us into the world to give hope to lost we pray in Jesus name, amen.
