Genesis 39:2-4

Genesis 39:2–4 (ESV): "The Lord was with Joseph, and he became a successful man, and he was in the house of his Egyptian master. 3 His master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord caused all that he did to succeed in his hands. 4 So Joseph found favor in his sight and attended him, and he made him overseer of his house and put him in charge of all that he had."

When God is with you nothing can stand against you. You might be tried but victory will be sure for no weapon formed against you shall prosper. Keep the faith!

Meanwhile in Egypt, Joseph was sold by the sons of Ishmael to a man named Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh. He observed Joseph and found that all that he put his hand to prospered. Potiphar knew the Lord was with Joseph so he put him in charge of his whole household. This prestigious position was given to a servant as a result of trust for he would literally manage all the assets of his master. Potiphar's wife had eyes for Joseph. When her husband was out of town she made her move and was rejected by Jospeh. This angered her so that she claimed Joseph tried to force himself upon her. Upon hearing this Potiphar put Joseph in jail. And the scripture declares, Genesis 39:21 (ESV): "21 But the Lord was with Joseph and showed him steadfast love and gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison. " No wicked scheme can prevail! Joseph can't lose for God is with him!

Jesus promised to be with us always, even to the end of the age. That means Jesus is with you and I in every trial and triumph. He is with us! We are never alone. Don't believe the lie that says God has abandoned you. He is with you and if you trust Him He will make lemonade from the lemons of your life. Keep looking to Jesus and walking in His ways and you will prosper in whatever you are doing.

Father we thank You for Your presence always. Give us eyes to see You in the midst of the fire. Let us not slip into doubt. You love us with an eternal love and You will see us through all temporary trials and tribulations. We commit ourselves to you even now, strengthen and guide us we pray in Jesus name, amen!
