Genesis 33:1-4

Genesis 33:1–4 (ESV): "And Jacob lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, Esau was coming, and four hundred men with him. So he divided the children among Leah and Rachel and the two female servants. 2 And he put the servants with their children in front, then Leah with her children, and Rachel and Joseph last of all. 3 He himself went on before them, bowing himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother. 4 But Esau ran to meet him and embraced him and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept."

When we run from our problems we live in a constant state of fear but when we man up and face them we slay the enemy and we see the full effect of Gods grace.

Jacob, who was been running from his past for years finally comes home to face his fear. As he comes he positions his servants and their families first then his wife Leah and her kids and then Rachel and Joseph last but Jacob goes ahead of them all to face his brother man to man. He sees Esau coming in the distance with a small army and he begins to humbly and respectfully as he comes. Esau is deeply moved and runs up to Jacob and they embraced and kiss each other and weep together. The Lord had already done a work in Esau's heart so Jacob was worrying for years for nothing.

Stopping running from the mistakes you've made. If you are a child of God repent and ask God to help you make peace with your past. If there are people that you need to apologize to because you deceived them, hurt them, lied to them ask God for the strength to face up to it and stop letting it riddle you with worry. Be obedient to the Spirit. God will met you with amazing grace and abundant mercy. Come to the Lord confessing and bowing then do what He instructs you to do. Watch and see if the grace of God doesn't meet you in a marvelous way.

Father we thank You for Your grace and mercy towards us Lord. Our sins are deep and yet Your grace is deeper. Cleanse us from things the plague us from our past. If we need to go before someone to seek reconciliation because of something we've done give us the strength to do so. We seek forgiveness and freedom from our past in the mighty name of Jesus we pray, amen!
