Genesis 32:1-2

Genesis 32:1–2 (ESV): "Jacob went on his way, and the angels of God met him. 2 And when Jacob saw them he said, "This is God's camp!" So he called the name of that place Mahanaim."

Feelings are deceitful! They can easily trick us into thinking we are alone. God will never leave us or forsake us. He has put angelic hosts around and about us to protect us. Don't listen to your feelings, trust God's Word!

God told Jacob to return to the land of his kindred (Gen 31:10). So he fled Laban and although he was pursued by him God protected him. He told Laban in a dream not to harm Jacob. After making a covenant with Laban, Jacob was free to go. He knew that troubled awaited him in his land for the last he knew his brother Esau wanted to kill him. In reluctant obedience Jacob continues his journey. His fear was met with an angelic army that would escort him home. When he met them on the road he named that place Mahanaim which means "two camps". God was with him. He had nothing to fear.

So often times we fret over things that will never come to pass. Our feelings deceive us into thinking we have no hope. God is for us! No weapon formed against Him shall prosper. We can have total confidence no matter where God sends us that He is with us and He will see us through our trials. Don't listen to your heart! Listen to Gods Word and His Spirit. You are in Gods camp and He is escorting you through life by way of angelic escort. He's got you. Trust in this!

Father we thank You that although we may feel alone at times we are never alone. You are always with us and You put angels in our path to reveal that truth to us. May we trust in You always and never allow our flesh to deceive us into thinking we are hopeless. Make Your presence known to us always we pray in Jesus name, amen.
