Ezekiel 46:9

Ezekiel 46:9 (ESV): "9 "When the people of the land come before the Lord at the appointed feasts, he who enters by the north gate to worship shall go out by the south gate, and he who enters by the south gate shall go out by the north gate: no one shall return by way of the gate by which he entered, but each shall go out straight ahead."

Worship gatherings are meant to be transformational, meaning we enter one way and leave a different way. That requires us to come ready to change. Prepare your heart with that in mind when you gather!

As God was revealing the ins and outs of Millennial worship to Ezekiel He gave instructions regarding entering and leaving the Temple. The only entrances that are to be used were the northern and southern gates. If you entered by the north gate you were to leave by the south gate and vice versa. Some believe this was for flow purposes. God was thinking about moving massive amounts of people in and out with no traffic jams.

There is a hidden truth in this practical instruction, the people of God are never to leave the same way they come to worship God. We are not coming out of duty but devotion. We should truly desire to leave differently every time we worship. This takes discipline. You must come prepared to change and leave with expectations to live differently. God can transform the life of a person who comes like this. Don't just flippantly come to worship the King. Prepare your heart so you can be transformed, amen?

Father, we thank You for all that You do in our lives. You are the God who gives and takes away for transformational purposes. Help us to come into Your presence with expectations of changing. Do whatever is necessary to make us more like Your Son, in Jesus' name we pray, amen.
