Ezekiel 39:26–27 (ESV): "26 They shall forget their shame and all the treachery they have practiced against me, when they dwell securely in their land with none to make them afraid, 27 when I have brought them back from the peoples and gathered them from their enemies' lands, and through them have vindicated my holiness in the sight of many nations."
The restoration of God is like nothing we could ever experience on earth. It is a divine intervention where God wipes all our mistakes away and remembers them no more! It's as if they never occurred. It is truly amazing to be found and forgiven by our Creator God and Savior!
After the Tribulation period and the Second Coming of Christ God will restore Israel and everyone will know that He has been in control of their whereabouts the whole time. No one will say, "where is your God now." The beautiful thing is that in this restoration God will remove their shame and guilt for all the treachery they had committed against Him. Their sins will be removed forever! He will cast them as far as the east is from the west remembering them no more. What a day that will be for the nation of Israel.
As for you and I who are presently in Christ that day has already come. Our sins are completely removed and cast into the land of "never remembrance." Christ has paid the price friend. We are reconciled to the Father through the blood of His Son. He took that step towards you so you could be radically changed, transformed, and forgiven. Are you still living in yesterday's guilt due to sin as a believer? You can't change the past but God can and has! He remembers your sins no more so why are you dwelling on them? It's time to move on, let go, and let God, amen?
Father, what can we say but thank You. You have forgiven our sins and wipe us clean. Never will you bring up my sin for Christ paid it all, past, present, and future. Help us remain repentant for the sake of fellowship all the days of our loves. Fill us with Your Spirit and give us the strength to let go of the guilt and shame Jesus paid for we pray in His name, amen.
