Ezekiel 33:7

Ezekiel 33:7 (ESV): "7 "So you, son of man, I have made a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me."

God has always had a system of warning in place since the beginning of time. He uses His law, divine signs as well as mankind to warn of impending doom. Everyone and everything is accountable to Him in this system.

In chapter 33, God designates Ezekiel a watchman for the nation of Israel. A watchman was an alert system to warn of incoming invasion. In this case, Ezekiel was to warn Israel of God's impending judgment. If he failed to warn, their blood was on his hands. If the hearers failed to respond, their blood was on their own hands. One thing is for sure, God was not to blame for man's failures. We are without excuse.

The people of the Church are God's modern-day watchmen. We are to warn of God's impending judgment. We are to instruct folks how to avoid His judgment. It is only through His Son Jesus that anyone can avoid eternal damnation. We have a responsibility to speak the truth of the Gospel. When God tells you to speak Christian make sure you do for He is using you to warn others about the eternal judgment that awaits those who are not in Christ. Be faithful, man your post, and sound the Gospel trumpet, amen?

Father, we thank You for warning us over and over of eternal judgment. Help us to never grow weary of being used to warn others of the same. May we always speak the truth in love and Holy Spirit conviction we pray in Jesus name, amen.
