Ezekiel 2:4-5

Ezekiel 2:4–5 (ESV): "4 The descendants also are impudent and stubborn: I send you to them, and you shall say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God.' 5 And whether they hear or refuse to hear (for they are a rebellious house) they will know that a prophet has been among them."

The sent ones of God are in for a bumpy road. He isn't sending us into a playground but a warzone. We will face much resistance but that must not stop us from completing the mission. God desires that everyone have sufficient opportunity to know Him.

After seeing an incredible vision of God and the angelic presence of heaven Ezekiel hears the voice of the Lord saying that he is sent to a nation of rebels (Eze 2:3) and that they would not respond well to his message but he must go regardless that they would know that a prophet has been among them. Essentially God wants them to know He is present.

God reveals His faithfulness to mankind even when they are not faithful. He gives each of us chance after chance to know Him personally and intimately. Even when we have a rebellious spirit He still reaches out to let us know He is here for us. Talk about compassion! As His messengers, we must be willing to endure hardship and ridicule so that He can be seen amongst the people. Stay the coarse Christian GOD is using you. You are salt and light sent to heal and reveal. You will have hard times but it's OK because you're sent by Him for His purposes. Never forget that! Amen?

Father, we thank You for being able to use us. What an amazing treasure that is for us. May we remain faithful no matter how bumpy the road gets. Help us to make Your presence known to all. May many hear the Gospel and turn from their sin. Awaken hearts through us we pray in Jesus name, amen.
