Ezekiel 11:19-20

Ezekiel 11:19–20 (ESV): "19 And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, 20 that they may walk in my statutes and keep my rules and obey them. And they shall be my people, and I will be their God."

What keeps us from being all-in with God? Our hard, calloused heart and a disobedient spirit. That is why God gave us a new heart because our old one was dead and hardened like a stone. He also gave a new Spirit that we can walk obediently in His statutes and commands. We have everything we need to be totally souled out to Him. Hallelujah!

The Lord declared to Ezekiel the issue that all of humanity faces, kind-heartedness and a rebellious spirit. These will cause us to dive into all kinds of abominations and wickedness. Israel is a great example of this. They are still walking in their waywardness for they are unwilling to accept Jesus as their Messiah. Although they are gathered as a nation as promised, they are not yet revived. God has yet to fulfill this promise of a national all-in movement where all of Israel is saved (Rom 11:26). This will not happen until the Millennial Kingdom is instituted and Christ is ruling and reigning on earth. God will give those alive unity and obedience by way of a new heart and a new Spirit.

For the Christian today God has already accomplished this. We have been given one heart and a new Spirit, named the Holy Spirit. Our heart of stone has been replaced with a heart of flesh. We can be all-in because of what Jesus has done for us. How do remain all-in though? The key is walking in the newness of life (Ro 6:4). Obedience is how you keep your new heart soft. He gave us the power through the Spirit to be obedient. We have all the ingredients to be souled out people for Jesus. The only thing stopping you is you. Keep your heart with diligence Christian for out it spring the issues of life (Prov 4:23). Amen?

Father, we thank You for a new heart and Spirit. We thank You for a desire to be obedient and not rebellious. Keep us from polluting our hearts with the things of this world. We want to be all-in Lord and we can be through surrender and obedience. So we come once again to the throne of grace and ask that You help us keep our hearts with all diligence that we might walk in newness of life all the days of our lives we pray in Jesus name, amen!
