Ephesians 6:10-11

Ephesians 6:10–11 (ESV): "10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil."

It's one thing to go through life feeling oppression and not know where it is coming from and an entirely different thing to know its source and remain passive about it. We are in a spiritual war so fight! Put on your armor and let's kick some satanic butt!

The schemes of Satan in our world today are so obvious to those sealed with the Spirit. The division, control, oppression, rejection of authority, self-hate, mutilation of the body, and murder of the innocent are just a few ways we can see his handiwork. God's people are called to the frontlines in this war. We are not to sit back casually and allow Satan to pillage and plunder. We have been given weapons of warfare to put to death the work of evil. May we rise and walk in the Spirit clothed in the armor of God and stop acting like what we are seeing is not spiritual. Let's go!

How do we fight this battle? Through elections and picketing? Not really. We should do our part there but our job is to be focused on the spiritual aspects of this battle. The issue is righteousness. You cannot legislate that, it's imputed by grace through faith in Christ alone. We need to fight this battle with the Gospel. When is the last time you shared the Gospel with someone? When is the last time you engaged in the trenches? Now is the time to speak up about what God has done in sending His Son. The battle rages on and we have the solution, His name is Jesus. Engage in the battle Christian for this is your calling.

Father, we thank You for giving us the weaponry we need to fight the spiritual battle we are in. Give us courage today to not just recognize the enemy but engage and overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. May we fight fiercely for those who are unaware we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
