Ephesians 4:15-16

Ephesians 4:15–16 (ESV): "15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love."

God has given us all that we need for life and godliness. We are equipped to succeed as followers of Christ. If every part of the body is functioning properly in love and their gifting there will be no hindrances to what we can achieve in Christ.

Jesus died to make us whole. That we would become a fully functioning body for His glory. He has given us apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds, and teachers to equip the saints for the work of ministry. We have the Spirit of God. All we have to do is grow in Him and we will walk in love and truth. Nothing else is needed for us to accomplish unity and the transformation Jesus died to give us except our participation.

What grace has been given to you in accordance with the measure of Christ's gift (vs 7)? How has the Lord gifted you to minister to His body? Walk in your gifting Christian. That is what it means to mature in love. Serving others is the ultimate manifestation of Jesus Christ in our lives. The more we walk in love the more we will serve others. Imagine the whole body functioning at this capacity! What could God do with a unified body operating in love and their gifting? I say we find out. Amen?

Father, we thank You for Your grace and Your gifting. May we never forget who has gifted us and for what reason. Grow us up in love and full maturity in the body so that we might be functioning properly towards one another and those who are outside. Have Your way we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
