Ephesians 2:19-21

Ephesians 2:19–21 (ESV): "19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, 21 in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord."

God knows no stranger! He desires to unite all men to Himself. Whether you are a Jew or a Gentile God has chosen you to become part of His household. He has taken the two and made them one in Christ and then sealed the deal with His Spirit (vs 22).

In ancient days Jews had a strong disdain for Gentiles and vice versa. The sentiments haven't changed all that much in the secular world but for those in Christ, everything has changed. Jesus fulfilled the law for the Jew and Gentile alike bringing the two together as one. We are all equally forgiven through the blood of Jesus and made to be one type of people, under one covenant with God, sealed with one Spirit, for one purpose. Jesus has made a way for Jews and Gentiles to become brothers and sisters, citizens and saints of the household of God. There must be no division within the household of God.

How glorious it is to be part of the body of Christ! Rejoice Christian for we are a peculiar people called into a bond that was wrought by the blood of the Lamb. The church has not replaced Israel, God still has a plan for this nation but we are one in heart and purpose, built upon the foundation that was laid by both the Apostles and Prophets, Christ being the cornerstone that ties and holds it all together. Praise God for His provision through Christ that makes this union possible.

Father, all glory, honor, and praise belong to You. You have done wondrous work through Your Son on our behalf. May we stand firm in the oneness You provided and never attempt to separate what God has brought together we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
