Daniel 6:20–22 (ESV): 20 As he came near to the den where Daniel was, he cried out in a tone of anguish. The king declared to Daniel, "O Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?" 21 Then Daniel said to the king, "O king, live forever! 22 My God sent his angel and shut the lions' mouths, and they have not harmed me, because I was found blameless before him; and also before you, O king, I have done no harm."
Trust is an important factor when navigating through circumstances. Our ability to trust God is found in how well we know Him! If we can trust that He will bring us through the grave anything this life can throw at us should be no problem.
After being set up by his coworkers Daniel was thrown in the lion's den for breaking the ordinance in Babylon. King Darius was distraught over this hoping Daniel's God would deliver him. So in the morning he ran to the pit and shouted, "O Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?" Daniel replied with a resounding yes! Daniel trusted the Lord at this moment and He prevailed as He always does.
If Daniel can trust God before fierce lions can't you trust Him before the circumstances you face? God is our protector and provider. He has our best interest in mind. He will see us through every trial and circumstance no matter how fierce it is. Trust the Lord! Look to Him alone and watch Him work in amazing ways. The only way we can do this is through a deep relationship. Daniel prayed to God three times a day, he had a deep relationship with God. You can too and it will serve you well when life happens! Amen?
Father, You are hands down the most trustworthy person we know. Forgive us for running to other places in times of trial. We need no other but You. Deepen our walk with You that we might be able to trust You more we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
