Acts 4:3-4

Acts 4:3–4 (ESV): "3 And they arrested them and put them in custody until the next day, for it was already evening. 4 But many of those who had heard the word believed, and the number of the men came to about five thousand."

The Gospel is the most valuable asset a Christian possesses. It is worth far more than all the gold and silver in the world. Nothing comes close to its value because nothing can promise eternal dividends like the Good News of Jesus Christ! Never undervalue this message.

Peter and John were making their way to the Temple at the ninth hour of prayer by way of the Gate Beautiful and healed a man who daily laid there. This man began to leap and praise and all who saw him recognized him as the lame man at the Gate and they were filled with wonder and astonished. Peter then spoke the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people calling them to repentance and to turn from their wickedness. The Religious Leaders heard they were preaching Jesus and His resurrection and they arrested them.

What other message do you possess that will bring comfort to the sorrowful, or healing to the sick? What words can you speak will have an eternal impact upon the lost people of this world? No other message but the Gospel can do this. Don't neglect the most valuable and life-changing words of Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Share with the whole world the greatest asset you possess but know that it will cost you something to share. You may be ridiculed or even arrested but don't let that stop you from proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ. Do not let the devil silence you from offering the only words that can change a person's temporal anguish and eternal destination. Give them Jesus, amen?

Father, we thank You for giving us Your Son that we too can give Him to those we come in contact with. May we never forsake the spreading of the Good News we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
