Acts 27:24-26

Acts 27:24–26 (ESV): "24 and he said, 'Do not be afraid, Paul; you must stand before Caesar. And behold, God has granted you all those who sail with you.' 25 So take heart, men, for I have faith in God that it will be exactly as I have been told. 26 But we must run aground on some island."

God gives us the measure of faith we need at the moment to overcome every obstacle we face. All we have to do is believe and walk in obedience!

After Paul stood before Agrippa and was found innocent, he was sent to stand before Caesar. As they were making their way to Rome they were caught in a terrible storm. An angel appeared to Paul and told him they would survive but they must run the ship aground. On the fourteenth day, they ran the ship aground on the island of Malta in the Adriatic Sea just south of Sicily. All 2767 passengers made it alive on shore because they were obedient to the angel's instructions. Not a single one was lost.

When you are in the middle of a storm who are you trusting in? Nothing on the horizontal can help us. We must keep our gaze vertical on the Lord and then do what He instructs us to do. He might not send an angel but He will give us the faith we need to get through the storm. Don't look to anyone but God when the waves of life are crashing down upon you. He will give you all that you need to withstand the trial. Walk by faith not by sight, amen?

Father, we thank You for being our rescue in all things. Help us to keep our eyes fixed upon You while we walk obediently by faith through the trials we face as You lead us to safety we pray in Jesus' name, amen.
